Message from the Chair

Welcome to the great platform in the realm of learning. As chairman, I warmly greet my beloved BBA students to the Department of Management at the University of Dhaka. You are excellent because excellence is the mindset of successful students like you. You deserve special congratulations for your persistent hard work to survive the battle of admission. In the Department of Management, we have high aspirations for you. We strive to prepare, nurture, and fine-tune our graduates to embrace the challenging position of management specialists in organizations. The Department of Management offers a variety of degrees: BBA, MBA, Executive MBA, MPHRM, M. Phil., DBA, and Ph.D. All these degrees are designed to provide talented and ambitious students with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve leadership positions within their chosen professions. The Department of Management maintains the highest academic standards. It helps us learn how to handle ourselves by using our heads and others by using our hearts. It provides education with outstanding qualities relevant to the needs of the competitive business world. We are not poor in resources but in resource management. So, we need leaders who can manage the resources for the betterment of society. The Department of Management has excellent facilities for curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities, coupled with an unparalleled commitment to a friendly learning environment and promoting the multifaceted growth and skills-oriented development of the students to teach them how to develop themselves to do good to the wider community. Our department has been formed by a team of service-oriented faculties with the aim of promoting education and learning. We believe in our professional academics who openly share their experiences and knowledge with our students. Our faculty members apply state-of-the-art teaching methods and materials to facilitate the learning opportunities of our beloved students. Our administrative team is dedicated to supporting the success of this department and our students as well. With the blessings of the Almighty, I pray that the Department of Management will continue to lead and guide our students to become leaders in the global market. I appreciate all the hard work that has been put in so far and hope that together we can make this a prosperous journey.

 

Mission & VISION

The vision of the Department of Management is to stand out as the premier center for management education both in Bangladesh and in the Asian region.

 

Faculty Members

The total number of faculty members of the department is 31. Three professors are on deputation and employed by the government.

Almost 50 thousand students have finished their academic sessions successfully up till now and about 2,500 students.
