The Department of Management was established on July 01, 1970. This is one of the pioneering departments under the Faculty of Business Studies. Management as a discipline deals with primarily managing diversified people in the workplace. Bangladesh is not poor in resources: it is poor in managing human resources. The progress of Bangladesh depends, to a great extent, on how well its human resources are managed. An organization must have skilled, qualified, motivated and committed workforce in order Jo survive in a competitive world. Keeping this in mind the Department of Management has launched Master of Professional Human Resource Management (MPHRM) Program to build effective HR professionals to face both local and international challenges. Bangladesh cannot speed up the desired economic growth without having adequate human/intellectual capital. The program is flexible enough to adjust the exact career goal of HR Professionals. The demand for Human Resource Management is gradually increasing due to the complexity and size of modern business/industrial organization and MPHRM graduates will make tremendous contribution to the accomplishment of the organizational goals.
